LABVIEW PROJECT SUMMARIES
This page briefly summarizes a few notable projects that I completed for a course that I was enrolled in at Purdue University. This course utilized a myRIO microprocessor for each assignment. The project files are available upon request.
BALANCE BEAM CALIBRATION
- Developed calibration curve for stable balance beam system
- Observed effects of a closed loop controller on a stable system - the effect of gain on stability
AUDIO MIXER AND VEHICLE SUSPENSION ANALYSIS
- Explored the effects of combining transfer functions in series and in parallel
- Created an audio mixer using band pass filters and designed GUI for treble and bass control
- Observed the response of three vehicle suspension models - racing, worn out, and nominal - and calculated their root locations to compare settling times
SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION TECHNIQUES
- Evaluated the effectiveness of the four system identification techniques - counting tau, log linearization, log decrement, and percent overshoot - to identify unknown signals
DC MOTOR CONTROL
- Utilized PWM and duty cycle to produce a response from DC motor
- Investigated the effects of dead band on motor response based on % duty cycle
DATA ACQUISITION
- Thermocouple and other miscellaneous measurement sensor management
